Prologue from the Book:

Dialogues with the Angels

I was raised in the Deep South in a very conservative Christian household, yet I had memories of Angels from the time I was a child. I heard music playing in my head, felt nature spirits in the forests, and saw a host of "other worldly" things which did not quite fit into the neat, three-dimensional picture I was being taught. I did not know then that I was what many now call a clairvoyant, but I did know that there was more to the Universe than what traditional science and Judeo-Christian teachings allowed us to hear, and I was intent upon finding out what it was.

In fact, my senior year in high school my two best friends and I sat together on the steps outside of school a week before graduation day and asked each other what we wanted to do with our lives. Chris, the shy, retiring, brilliant bookworm said, "I want to get married, have a good job and have babies." And she has done all those things. Cathy, the one with the fabulous voice who was funny, irreverent and made A's without trying said, "I want to become a famous singer and go to Hollywood." Today she is married to a producer sings and lives in California. And I said, "I want to discover the secrets of the Universe. I want to find out the hidden mysteries of things." What prophetic words to have spoken over my own life!

This book, "Dialogues With The Angels", is the story of my personal quest to meet and interact with those Divine agents of God. It is the adventure story we have all dreamed of, and perhaps some of us have lived. Along the way, I have met Devas, and masters, and beheld miracles. And finally I was destined, as many of you are, to meet my own beloved guides, who revealed themselves as the most powerful force in my life -- even when I was unaware of it.

Since I was a child I have known such beings were near. But like many of us, I never spoke about this knowing to others. Now as I teach consciousness in cities around the world, many people come to tell me their spiritual tales; they are tales of healing, hope, miracles, and love. It is in the trust that this tale, the tale I share within the covers of this book, will find those kindred souls, that I now write it. It is finally time.

The Matter of Angels

Angels have long been a tricky subject. Invariably those with a more concrete approach to life consider that those who are interested in them just might be crazy. Some may even imagine that you have been struck with religious fever. This is not the case. Angels are beyond any religion, yet they can be found in almost every cultural and spiritual tradition of the world: Christian, Moslem, Jewish, Persian, Hindu, Buddhist, Native American, Greek, Roman, Mayan, Incan and Aborigine. Their stories go back to the earliest civilizations on our planet.

Some of our greatest thinkers have believed in them including Socrates, Plato, Paracelsus, Thomas Moore, William Blake, Milton, Shakespeare, Pythagoras, Homer, Jacob Boehme, and Emmanuel Swedenborg. St. Augustine once said, "every visible thing in this world is under the charge of an Angel." St. Thomas Aquinas wrote, "they are neither male nor female, but able to assume whatever form they like."

The human fascination with Angels has always been great, but perhaps never so great as it is today. Recent television polls tell us that 69 percent of the American public believes in the existence of Angels and another 67 percent in extra-terrestrials. Angels sites have surfaced on the Internet. Four magazines and more than 140 stores in America alone now specialize in Angel paraphernalia. Films reflect this devotion; with movies like "It's a Wonderful Life" having become a Christmas classic.

Popular musical songs include the word Angel in dozens of best selling tunes. Even television shows about Angels have found their way into the networks in the past two decades. Is this because more than 32 percent of the American public claims they have had first-hand encounters with Angels?1 Perhaps with these statistics, certainly even the most skeptical among us should consider that there might be some truth to these appearances after all!

Learning To Listen

Those people who do believe in Angels often discount their own experiences. We hear about angelic encounters happening to others, without stopping to recognize the everyday miracles in our own lives. Because we are human and because we have doubt, we dismiss those "little coincidences" as insignificant, when in truth they are not. Angels take a million forms in a trillion guises. They speak to us in the movements of nature; through the appearance of animals, plants, and other humans; in the dance of the wind in the heavens; and especially in those little synchronicities of life.

Like many of you, I have wanted all my life to meet my Angels face to face. I have prayed, meditated, and called upon them in times of crisis. I have begged them to materialize, discoursed with them as invisible companions, and taken dictation at their hands. I have seen them appear at holy sites, I have heard them whisper in my ear, and I have seen the benediction of their presence over thousands. I have witnessed their appearance at the bedsides of friends' death transitions and watched them lift a spirit out of the body, leaving only the clay husk behind.

I am intimately acquainted with the Angels, and I feel blessed that my gifts of sight and hearing have allowed me to enter into the vision of the worlds they inhabit. To even begin to speak of the vast vistas, to which they have taken me, is challenging at best. "Dialogues with the Angels" is but the first trail of breadcrumbs leading down the path to their domain, but it will lead you to the door of their open sanctuary.

Just what are the Angels - really? They are Divine helpers of Light and Love. Beyond that, the equation becomes much harder. To really understand the nature of the Angelic kingdom brings us to the very heart of understanding the nature of reality itself. And to do that, we must honestly come to terms with the fact that we live in a multi-dimensional Universe. This clashes with our current scientific model, which is only just now beginning to allow for such things as "near death experiences," out-of-body travel, and parallel universes.

No doubt, at this time in human history, when the veils between the worlds are once again growing thin, there are millions of silent ones experiencing the presence of these Divine teachers. This book is written for all of you. It is written to help affirm those inner knowings, those divine yearnings, and that part of us, which feels a change coming to our planet. The time of Angels and humanity is coming once again, and we have lived to see it come.

I dedicate this book to all of you, and most of all to those beloved guides who have loved us for so long, and waited patiently for us to awaken from the sleep of our forgetting. May each of you come to have your own "Dialogues with the Angels".
